About our Construction

 I use dowel pin construction for the rocking chairs and barstools. The rails are double doweled glued and clamped. Where screws are needed I pre drill and cover Liluokalani Rocker the screw with plugs made from the same wood. The sculpted rocker has two wood bending processes that were taught to me by my mentor Elam Sharpe in 1973. Elam taught me an approach to wood work problem solving that has allowed me to be become quite competent and capable in producing heirloom quality furniture.
